This is a tiny little medieval coin, only 10.36mm (I measured across the smallest diameter) It is silver of unknown purity and paper thin! Nice for over 900 years old!
Minted under Bela the 2nd. Bela was known as Bela the Blind, having been blinded for rebellion against his cousin, King Stephen II. His reign was marked with periodic massacres of those who dared oppose his will. Bela passed away in 1141, possibly from excessive drinking!
